#NoisePollution: DIIV

Waves break into each other, sand blows in the wind and stings your eyes. The sky is blue, and so is the horizon. Everything is blue in this world of textures. Yellow, blue. Not what you expect when you think of Brooklyn, NY.
DIIV formed in 2012 as a testament to the ocean and what lies beyond it. With heavy influences from Seattle grunge bands like Nirvana and a distinctive world music influence from Malian guitarist Baba Salah, DIIV’s music is consistently forming and alluring, with shamanic vocals sunk into the deep of liquid instrumentals.

Their debut album Oshin was released in 2012. They followed it with another in 2014.
